Data SGP package uses conditional densities estimated from quantile regression models of student achievement histories to generate student growth percentiles, which are then displayed alongside scaled scores and achievement levels to provide a complete picture of progress within subject areas.

To aid this effort, the data sgp package offers visualizations and graphs to explore and interpret SGP results, while also facilitating easily creating charts or tables with student growth percentiles for all students in a school.
The SGP package may be run using either LONG formatted data or WIDE formatted data, with lower level functions like studentGrowthPercentiles and studentGrowthProjections requiring WIDE data while higher-level functions that “wrap” those lower level functions requiring LONG data formats – we strongly advise using long formatted data when operating an analysis using SGP.
