Beginning March 1st, travelers can enter a lottery for a free trip to Hong Kong by participating in the World of Winners contest. Entry can be submitted from Southeast Asia, mainland China or anywhere in the world and winners will be announced in three waves: first for Southeast Asian travelers followed by mainland Chinese then worldwide participants.

The Hongkong Prize is one of Asia’s premier awards, drawing thousands of applicants annually. It recognizes scientists whose scientific advancement has had a substantial positive effect on society while offering access to some of Hong Kong’s finest research facilities as part of their prize.

Hongkong Prize has traditionally honored those who risk their lives to defend freedom and democracy, as well as those striving towards social justice and community service. This year’s finalists include an activist who founded an NGO providing shelter to homeless adults as well as an academic who developed liquid biopsy to detect cancer faster.

Students who excel in their studies while demonstrating an interest in Asian culture and history may receive the Hongkong Prize, with scholarships being available to study in Hong Kong and discover its rich cultural heritage. The top ten winners will also be honored at an awards ceremony with monetary prizes, plaques and tickets to attend its awards ceremony.

Judged by an esteemed panel, there are multiple categories in this competition which is open to anyone who writes poetry, prose or verse. There is also a public viewing and sale of artwork with proceeds going towards supporting Justice Centre Hong Kong – an organization helping refugees in need.

Hongkong Prize also honors young scientists. The BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize is an independent merit-based award that encourages researchers in Hong Kong’s science and technology fields. Awarded annually across four categories (artificial intelligence/robotics; life/health issues/new materials/energy usage/advanced manufacturing), this prize offers researchers an incentive to specialize in Hong Kong science/technology sectors.
