This award recognizes outstanding students whose work can have a meaningful effect on global affairs. Projects will be judged according to impact, innovation and value to society – with winners receiving both monetary prizes as well as networking opportunities with leading scientists worldwide.

The Hong Kong Prize is open to any scientist whose scientific research has had an immediate and direct effect on society. Judging is conducted by independent review panels with expertise in each award category; additionally, public members will represent public views as part of this judging panel. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit more than one article for consideration.
